We had the pleasure of collaborating with Lulu Maison, an interior design firm based in Cape Town and London. They specialise in creating distinctive and timeless spaces through close collaboration with clients and industry professionals. Although their previous brand identity was well-received, Lulu Maison aimed to elevate their brand to a higher standard.
Our objective was to do exactly that - to enhance Lulu Maison's brand to mirror the exceptional quality of their work. The concept behind the brand identity, "Emotive Storyscapes," was inspired by their unique approach of working closely with clients to bring their visions to life. This concept embodies the belief that every space tells a unique story waiting to be unveiled. It reflects Lulu Maison's values of individuality, personalisation, and the enhancement of each client's character in their designs.
The challenge was to strike a balance between a sophisticated appearance and a playful personality. To achieve this, we carefully selected a colour palette with two primary colours to convey a premium feel, complemented by two bright colours used sparingly to add a touch of personality. This blend is also evident in the brand voice, with the tone adopting a more playful approach. Our primary focus when designing their brand was to ensure it did not overshadow the photography of their work which ultimately emphasises their premium identity.
The end result is a brand identity that exudes both premium quality and approachable charm, perfectly capturing the essence of Lulu Maison's exceptional work and playful spirit.
