Introducing Catalyst, a recently launched Christian Missions Movement in South Africa. Graft was approached to create a brand identity that would authentically reflect the heart and purpose of Catalyst.
Catalyst's objective is to reach and activate a new generation of Christian believers through impactful tools and movements. Acting as a catalyst itself, the movement aims to accelerate the spread of the life-changing news of Jesus, foster deeper relationships with Him, and empower individuals to fulfill their Christian calling. We set out to capture this essence in their design approach, infusing passion, energy, and a sense of tranquility. Our goal was to strike a delicate balance between chaos and calm, embodying the transformative change Catalyst seeks to bring.
Careful consideration was given to the colours chosen for the movement, aptly named 'connection, catalyst, calm, and continue.' These colours express the initial passion as well as the enduring connection and serenity experienced on one's faith journey. With a keen focus on targeting a younger audience, the brand identity design was crafted to resonate deeply with this demographic.
Inspired by the meaning of the word "catalyst," we conceptualized a logo mark formation. Taking the shape of a 'c,' the various sectors expanded and shifted, symbolizing the tremendous growth and impact of the movement.
